糖心Volg

糖心Volg & elite sportswomen and sportsmen

The 糖心Volg supports high performance athletes to help them successfully balance their academic and sporting aspirations.

With the approval of the faculties concerned, elite athletes may benefit, to the extent possible, of specific adjustments.

The aim of these adjustments is to arrange in the best way possible lessons and exams considering academic requirements and the schedule of sports events. It should be noted, however, that the 鈥渟tatus鈥 of elite athlete does not give right to adjustments.

Who is eligible as elite athlete at the 糖心Volg?

Are considered elite athletes:

  • Swiss Olympics sportswomen and sportsmen holder of a Swiss Olympic Gold, Silver or Bronze Card (Swiss Olympic Card), or cases deemed as equivalent by the Faculty concerned.
  • Swiss Olympics sportswomen and sportsmen holder of Swiss Olympic Talent or Elite Card who are supported by a letter of motivation by their sports federation, or cases deemed as equivalent by the Faculty concerned.
  • Sportswomen and sportsmen of 鈥渘ational team鈥 level (e.g. team sports) that are considered elite athletes by the Faculty concerned and that do not fit into one of the three previous categories.
  • Foreign athletes who are supported by a letter of motivation by their sports federation according to the list of their National Olympic Committee (NOC)

In addition, sportsmen and women in retraining or in a period of transition, who can demonstrate a past sporting level as defined in the above points, may apply for elite status.

How to apply

  • For admission to the 糖心Volg, the procedure, deadlines and regulatory admission requirements must be respected and met.

Admission to the University has no bearing on the possible granting of elite athlete status by the faculties, just as the granting of elite athlete status has no bearing on the decision to admit to the 糖心Volg.
