Biography
Riccarda Schmid is a historian specializing in ancient Athenian democracy. Her research is characterized by a transdisciplinary approach to societal dynamics in both modern and ancient democratic societies, combining perspectives from classical studies, communication studies, and political science.

Greek antiquity, history and theory of democracy, political communication in antiquity and today, populism in ancient and modern societies, framing and frame analysis in political speech, dynamics of identity construction and social memory in ancient and contemporary societies.
